I traveled from Nairobi to Kilimanjaro, where Ian, our Country Manager in Tanzania, had booked a taxi to Arusha. The next morning, I started the day with a walk in the city, and I went for a little shopping. When I got back to the hotel, Ian had arrived, and we updated each other on the latest things happening. Although we occasionally face challenges, my mood is still very good… especially because the weather and the view of the nearby Mount Meru are absolutely fantastic!

Later in the day, I passed by our partner, Kakute, where we prepared some batteries. Livinus, the director at Kakute, believes that we have something good going on with our portable solution and that it can turn into something big – also in relation to the grid roll-out, where this solution can help connect more users. It is nice to see how passionated he is about the project as well.

In the evening I went out for dinner with our driver, Arnold, and our sales agent, Linus. We talked about how we can transfer the good things that are happening right now in Kenya to the Tanzanian market.

Another long but good day is over, and I quickly fall asleep after a talk with Annie at home. Tomorrow another exciting day awaits!
